Hosta ‘Jurassic Park’ – 2026

Hosta ‘Jurassic Park’ is a striking perennial that brings both beauty and structure to shaded garden spaces. This cultivar features large, rounded to heart-shaped, dark green leaves with a puckered surface and very heavy substance. The foliage forms a dense, upright mound, making it an excellent choice for borders, woodland gardens, or as a specimen plant. The wide, rippled margins add a dramatic effect, creating a bold contrast against the centre of the leaves.

In early to mid-summer, ‘Jurassic Park’ produces tall scapes adorned with loose clusters of pale purple flowers that attract pollinators like bees and butterflies. This hosta thrives in moist, well-drained, organically rich soil and prefers partial to full shade, though it can tolerate some morning sun. Once established, it is relatively low-maintenance and offers excellent slug resistance due to its thick, textured leaves. ‘Jurassic Park’ is a versatile and dependable perennial that adds both visual appeal and ecological value to shaded areas.
