Acer palmatum ‘Phoenix’ – 1Ltr Bareroot

Acer palmatum Phoenix is a stunning Japanese maple, admired for its brilliant foliage that changes dramatically with the seasons. In spring, the deeply lobed leaves emerge a vivid pink-red, gradually maturing to green in summer before turning rich shades of orange and red in autumn. Its compact, upright habit and striking colour transitions make it a superb feature tree for borders, courtyards, or containers, where its ornamental qualities can be enjoyed up close.

This deciduous shrub thrives in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil and prefers a sheltered position in partial shade, though it can tolerate full sun if protected from harsh winds. Perfectly suited to the UK climate, it requires little maintenance apart from light pruning to enhance its natural shape. With its vibrant spring flush, elegant summer presence, and fiery autumn tones, Acer palmatum Phoenix brings lasting seasonal beauty, structure, and refinement to gardens of all sizes.
