Veronicastrum virginicum ‘Cupid’ – 2026

Veronicastrum virginicum ‘Cupid’ is an elegant perennial with tall, upright stems bearing slender spires of pale lavender-blue flowers that bloom from midsummer to early autumn. Its blooms rise above neatly whorled green foliage, creating a vertical accent that brings poise and structure to mixed borders. The soft, pastel colouring makes Cupid a graceful companion to ornamental grasses, phlox, and echinacea, while its airy flower spikes provide movement and rhythm within a planting scheme.

Thriving in moist, fertile, well-drained soil, it prefers a position in full sun to partial shade and benefits from consistent moisture through the growing season. Once settled, its a low-maintenance perennial needing only occasional division and the removal of spent stems. Its nectar-rich flowers are a valuable resource for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, making it an ideal choice for wildlife-friendly or naturalistic garden designs.
