Geranium ‘Johnson’s Blue’ – 2026

Geranium ‘Johnson’s Blue’ is one of the most popular hardy geraniums, celebrated for its clear, vivid blue flowers that appear in abundance from late spring into early summer. The saucer-shaped blooms are carried above deeply divided, mid-green foliage that forms a soft, spreading mound, adding both colour and texture to borders and informal planting schemes. Its long flowering season and striking colour make it a reliable choice for cottage gardens, wildlife-friendly borders, or naturalistic plantings, where it also attracts bees and other pollinators.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade, this perennial prefers well-drained soil and is hardy and low-maintenance. With occasional cutting back after flowering, Geranium ‘Johnson’s Blue’ will produce fresh foliage and sometimes a second flush of blooms, making it a dependable and ornamental garden feature.
