Phlox paniculata ‘Modern Art’ – 2026

Phlox paniculata ‘Modern Art’ is a compact, upright, clump-forming perennial with broadly lance-shaped dark green leaves and dense panicles of fragrant raspberry-magenta flowers with large white stars in their centres. The blooms appear from midsummer into early autumn, attracting pollinators such as bees and butterflies while adding colour and structure to borders, cottage gardens, and mixed plantings. Its upright habit provides visual interest and ecological value.

Thriving in fertile, well-drained soil, ‘Modern Art’ prefers full sun to partial shade. Regular deadheading of spent flowers encourages continued flowering and maintains a tidy appearance. Phlox paniculata ‘Modern Art’ combines long-lasting floral display, resilience, and wildlife support, making it a versatile and rewarding choice for UK gardens.
