Astilbe arendsii ‘Diamant’ – 2026

Astilbe arendsii ‘Diamant’ is a striking perennial admired for its tall, upright plumes of pure white flowers that brighten shaded areas in mid to late summer. Its feathery blooms create an elegant, airy texture and stand out beautifully against the backdrop of deep green foliage. This cultivar is particularly effective when planted in groups, where its luminous display adds light and contrast to darker planting schemes.

It grows best in humus-rich, consistently moist soil and prefers partial to full shade, though it can tolerate morning sun if the soil remains damp. Low-maintenance and reliable, it only requires cutting back after flowering and benefits from mulching to conserve moisture. A versatile choice, it works well in shaded borders, woodland gardens, or beside water features, while also attracting pollinators.
