Acer palmatum ‘Little Princess’ – 1Ltr Bareroot

Acer palmatum Little Princess is a compact and decorative Japanese maple, admired for its finely cut, palmate leaves that provide a vivid seasonal display. In spring, the foliage emerges bright green with red-tipped edges, turning a deeper green through summer before transforming into fiery tones of red and orange in autumn. Its small, rounded form and changing colours make it an ideal choice for smaller gardens, containers, rockeries, or as a striking focal point in mixed planting schemes.

This deciduous shrub thrives in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil and prefers a sheltered position in partial shade, where its delicate foliage is protected from strong winds and excessive sun. Well suited to the UK climate, it requires little maintenance beyond light pruning to maintain its natural shape. Acer palmatum Little Princess is valued for its compact habit and vibrant seasonal colour, making it a versatile and reliable choice for adding elegance, structure, and long-lasting beauty to the garden.
