Acer palmatum ‘Seiryu’ – 1Ltr Bareroot

Acer palmatum Seiryu is a graceful Japanese maple known for its upright, airy form and finely dissected, lace-like green foliage. In spring, the leaves emerge fresh green, maturing to a deeper green in summer before turning golden-yellow with hints of red in autumn. Its vertical, architectural habit makes it ideal as a specimen tree in borders, Japanese-inspired gardens, or smaller spaces where its delicate texture and seasonal interest can be appreciated.

This deciduous tree thrives in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil and prefers a sheltered position in partial shade, though it will tolerate full sun if protected from strong winds. Suited to the UK climate, it requires minimal maintenance apart from occasional pruning to maintain shape and enhance airflow. With its elegant structure, seasonal colour changes, and fine-textured foliage, Acer palmatum Seiryu provides long-lasting ornamental value and a striking focal point in any garden.
