Aconitum carmichaelii ‘Cloudy’ – 2026

Aconitum carmichaelii ‘Cloudy’ is a tall, upright perennial known for its elegant panicles of soft white flowers tinged with pale lavender along the edges. These delicate, hooded blooms appear in late summer to autumn, rising above deeply divided, dark green foliage to add a graceful, architectural presence to borders and woodland edges. This cultivar is valued for extending interest late into the season when many other perennials are finishing.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade and preferring moist, well-drained soil, ‘Cloudy’ is hardy and low-maintenance. It performs best in conditions that offer consistent moisture and can benefit from staking in more exposed locations. All parts of the plant are highly toxic and skin irritant, requiring caution when handling. Its tall form and attractive blooms make it excellent for mixed borders, cottage planting, and pollinator-friendly gardens.
