Astilbe ‘Queen Alexandra’ – 2026

Astilbe ‘Queen Alexandra’ is a stunning perennial admired for its tall, graceful plumes of soft pink flowers that bloom from mid to late summer. Its feathery flowers rise elegantly above a dense mound of rich green foliage, creating a striking vertical accent in shaded borders, woodland gardens, or along pond edges. The gentle pink tones offer a delicate contrast to darker foliage and other perennials, enhancing the visual appeal of mixed plantings.

Thriving in moist, humus-rich soils, Astilbe ‘Queen Alexandra’ prefers partial to full shade and performs best when the soil is consistently damp. It is low-maintenance, requiring only cutting back of spent stems after flowering and occasional mulching to conserve soil moisture. Its nectar-rich flowers attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies, adding both ornamental charm and ecological value to garden spaces.
