Astilbe ‘Rheinland’ – 2026

Astilbe ‘Rheinland’ is a striking perennial admired for its deep crimson-red, feathery flower plumes that stand tall above a lush mound of dark green foliage. Blooming in mid to late summer, its upright flowers create a dramatic vertical accent in shaded borders, woodland gardens, or near water features. The vivid red blooms provide a strong contrast to lighter-coloured plants and bring vibrant energy to mixed perennial plantings.

Thriving in moist, humus-rich soils, Astilbe ‘Rheinland’ prefers partial to full shade and performs best when the soil remains consistently damp. Easy to maintain, it benefits from mulching to conserve moisture and cutting back old stems after flowering. Its nectar-rich blooms attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies, adding both ornamental charm and ecological value to shaded garden areas.
