Astilbe simplicifolia ‘Hennie Graafland’ – 2026

Astilbe simplicifolia ‘Hennie Graafland’ is a delicate perennial admired for its soft pink, plume-like flowers that rise elegantly above a compact mound of finely textured green foliage. Blooming from mid to late summer, its airy, upright flowers create a graceful vertical accent in shaded borders, woodland gardens, or near ponds. The gentle pink tones blend beautifully with other perennials, adding a romantic, soft touch to mixed plantings and enhancing visual interest in shaded areas.

Thriving in moist, humus-rich soils, Astilbe simplicifolia ‘Hennie Graafland’ prefers partial to full shade and performs best when the soil remains consistently damp. Low-maintenance and easy to grow, it benefits from mulching to conserve moisture and cutting back old stems after flowering. Its nectar-rich flowers attract bees and other pollinators, adding both ornamental charm and ecological value to shaded garden spaces.
