Astilbe simplicifolia ‘Sprite’ – 2026

Astilbe simplicifolia ‘Sprite’ is a compact perennial admired for its delicate, soft pink, feathery flower plumes that rise above a neat mound of dark green foliage. Blooming from mid to late summer, its upright flowers create a graceful vertical accent in shaded borders, woodland gardens, or near water features. The gentle pink blooms provide subtle colour and texture, enhancing the charm and interest of shaded garden areas or mixed perennial plantings.

Thriving in moist, humus-rich soils, Astilbe simplicifolia ‘Sprite’ prefers partial to full shade and performs best when the soil is kept consistently damp. Low-maintenance and easy to grow, it benefits from mulching to conserve moisture and cutting back old stems after flowering. Its nectar-rich flowers attract bees and other pollinators, adding both ornamental and ecological value to shaded garden spaces.
