Chelone obliqua ‘Alba’ – 2026

Chelone obliqua ‘Alba’ is a hardy, clump-forming perennial prized for its striking pure white, turtlehead-shaped flowers that bloom from late summer into early autumn. The upright blooms rise above glossy green foliage, providing strong vertical interest and a distinctive architectural feature in borders, woodland gardens, and naturalistic plantings. Its nectar-rich flowers are highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, adding both ornamental and ecological value.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade with moist, well-drained soil, Chelone obliqua ‘Alba’ is hardy, resilient, and low-maintenance. Deadheading faded flowers encourages prolonged blooming, while occasional trimming maintains a tidy clump. Its upright habit and long-lasting display make it an excellent choice for mixed borders, woodland edges, and wildlife-friendly gardens, offering both structure and seasonal colour.
