Convallaria majalis ‘Rosea’ – 2026

Convallaria majalis ‘Rosea’ is a charming perennial prized for its delicate, softly scented pink bell-shaped flowers, which bloom in spring above a carpet of lush, lance-shaped green leaves. This cultivar is a variation of the classic lily-of-the-valley, offering a softer, more unusual colour while retaining the same graceful form. Its dainty flowers provide seasonal interest, attract pollinators, and work beautifully in shaded borders, woodland gardens, or as groundcover beneath trees and shrubs.

Thriving in partial to full shade with moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil, Convallaria majalis ‘Rosea’ is hardy, reliable, and spreads steadily by rhizomes to form dense colonies. Low-maintenance and resilient once established, it requires little more than occasional thinning if it spreads beyond its allotted space. Combining fragrance, ornamental value, and wildlife benefits, this cultivar is a lovely addition to shaded or naturalistic planting schemes.
