Coreopsis verticillata ‘Zagreb’ – 2026

Coreopsis verticillata ‘Zagreb’ is a compact, clump-forming perennial admired for its vibrant golden-yellow, daisy-like flowers held above fine, thread-like green foliage. Flowering profusely through summer, it creates a long-lasting, cheerful display that brightens borders, gravel gardens, and naturalistic planting schemes. Its nectar-rich blooms are highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, adding wildlife value as well as ornamental appeal.

Thriving in full sun with well-drained soil, Coreopsis verticillata ‘Zagreb’ is hardy, drought-tolerant once established, and particularly valued for its easy-going nature. Regular deadheading encourages repeat blooms, while occasional division maintains clump health and vigour. More compact than many other Coreopsis cultivars, it is ideal for smaller gardens or the front of borders, where its finely textured foliage and bright flowers provide a reliable splash of summer colour.
