Cycas revoluta Sago Palm

Cycas revoluta, commonly known as the Sago Palm, is a very slow-growing, ancient cycad often described as a living fossil. It features dark green, glossy, feather-like leaves that emerge in a graceful rosette from a rugged trunk, giving it a striking architectural form. This hardy and long-lived species thrives in a wide range of conditions and adds a strong tropical or formal accent to gardens. It makes a stunning specimen plant, whether mass planted, positioned around pools, or showcased in decorative containers where its sculptural beauty can be fully appreciated. Indoors, it is also valued as an easy-care houseplant with bold texture and presence. Take care: The fronds are quite spiky, so avoid planting near walkways.

Growing Conditions:
Soil: Prefers loamy, well-drained soil.
Position: Part shade.
Tolerances: Salt and drought resistant; withstands short frosts down to 9 C.
Size: Up to 3 m high 2 m wide.
