Delphinium ‘Highlander Crystal Delight’ – 2026

Delphinium ‘Highlander Crystal Delight’ is a tall, hardy perennial admired for its dense spikes of soft, pale lavender-blue flowers with slightly darker centres that bloom from mid to late summer. The upright flower spikes rise above clumps of finely divided dark green foliage, creating striking vertical interest in borders, cottage gardens, and mixed perennial plantings. Its nectar-rich blooms attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, providing both ornamental and ecological benefits.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade with fertile, well-drained soil, Delphinium ‘Highlander Crystal Delight’ benefits from staking to support its tall flower spikes. Cutting back spent stems helps maintain a tidy appearance and can encourage prolonged flowering in favourable conditions. Hardy, long-flowering, and relatively low-maintenance, this cultivar offers a dramatic display of summer colour and vertical structure, making it an excellent choice for garden borders.
