Eryngium ‘Big Blue’ – 2026

Eryngium ‘Big Blue’ is a robust perennial valued for its large, spiny, steel-blue flower heads that bloom from summer to early autumn. The flowers are held on sturdy stems above spiky, grey-green foliage, creating a dramatic, architectural effect in borders, rockeries, or naturalistic plantings. Its distinctive flower colour attracts pollinators, while the textured foliage adds year-round structure and visual interest.

Thriving in full sun with well-drained soil, Eryngium ‘Big Blue’ is drought-tolerant once established and low-maintenance. Hardy and long-lived, it is suitable for exposed, sunny positions and provides lasting ornamental appeal through both its bold flowers and foliage.
