Fragaria ‘Lambada’ (A+) – 2026

Fragaria ‘Lambada’ is a vigorous, low-growing strawberry cultivar prized for its abundant production of large, bright red fruits with excellent flavour. The plants form dense mats of glossy green leaves, producing fragrant white flowers in spring that develop into juicy berries from early to mid-summer. Its compact habit makes it ideal for borders, containers, or raised beds, providing both ornamental appeal and edible value in the garden.

This cultivar thrives in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil, benefiting from regular watering and feeding to promote strong growth and high-quality fruit. It is low-maintenance, requiring only occasional removal of runners to maintain vigour. The flowers attract bees and other pollinators, enhancing biodiversity while producing a reliable and flavoursome strawberry harvest.
