Fragaria ‘Selva’ (A+) – 2026

Fragaria ‘Selva’ is a vigorous, low-growing strawberry cultivar valued for its abundant production of large, bright red fruits with sweet, aromatic flavour. The plants form dense mats of glossy green leaves, producing fragrant white flowers in spring that develop into juicy berries from early to mid-summer. Its compact, tidy habit makes it suitable for traditional beds, containers, or raised planters, providing both ornamental and edible value in the garden.

This cultivar thrives in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil, benefiting from regular watering and feeding to ensure healthy growth and high-quality fruit. It is low-maintenance, requiring only occasional removal of runners to maintain vigour. The flowers attract bees and other pollinators, supporting biodiversity while delivering a reliable and flavoursome strawberry harvest.
