Geranium renardii – 2026

Geranium renardii is a hardy, perennial plant admired for its soft lilac-blue flowers that bloom from late spring to early summer, creating a delicate and long-lasting display. The saucer-shaped blooms are carried above finely divided, grey-green foliage that forms a low, compact, clump-forming habit, adding texture and structure to rockeries, alpine gardens, or borders. Its flowers attract bees and other pollinators, supporting garden biodiversity while enhancing the ornamental appeal of the planting.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil, Geranium renardii is hardy, low-maintenance, and adaptable to a variety of soil types. Occasional removal of spent flowers encourages fresh foliage and maintains a tidy appearance. Its combination of delicate blooms, compact foliage, and pollinator-friendly qualities makes it a versatile and reliable choice for rockeries, alpine gardens, and naturalistic plantings.
