Helenium autumnale ‘Mariachi Siesta’ – 2026

Helenium autumnale ‘Mariachi Siesta’ is a compact perennial that produces deep red flowers with maroon centres from July to October. These blooms are borne on branching stems above green foliage, creating a misty effect in the garden. The plant’s fine-textured appearance makes it an excellent choice for borders, rock gardens, and as a filler in floral arrangements. Its compact size and extended flowering period provide both structure and seasonal colour.

Preferring full sun and moist, well-drained soils, ‘Mariachi Siesta’ is hardy in a variety of climates and can tolerate dry conditions once established. Regular watering during dry spells and occasional division every few years will help maintain its vigour. Its resilience and low-maintenance nature make it a reliable and attractive addition to any garden, offering long-lasting colour and ecological benefits for pollinators.
