Helenium ‘UFO Betty’ – 2026

Helenium ‘UFO Betty’ is a clump-forming perennial that produces golden-yellow flowers with rolled petals touched with red, surrounding a dark brown central cone from late summer into autumn. These blooms are borne on branching stems above narrow green leaves, creating a striking display in the garden. The plant’s fine-textured appearance makes it an excellent choice for borders, rock gardens, and as a filler in floral arrangements. Its compact size and extended flowering period provide both structure and seasonal colour.

Preferring full sun and moist but well-drained soils, ‘UFO Betty’ is hardy in a variety of climates and can tolerate dry conditions once established. Regular watering during dry spells and occasional division every few years will help maintain its vigour. Its resilience and low-maintenance nature make it a reliable and attractive addition to any garden, offering long-lasting colour and ecological benefits for pollinators.
