Hemerocallis ‘Bogeyman’ – 2026

Hemerocallis ‘Bogeyman’ is a striking daylily cultivar renowned for its deep, almost black-purple flowers, each adorned with a contrasting yellow-green throat. These 56 inch blooms exude a subtle fragrance and are borne on sturdy scapes approximately 20 inches tall. As a tetraploid, ‘Bogeyman’ features robust, ruffled petals that maintain their form throughout the growing season. This cultivar is particularly valued for its reblooming nature, offering fresh flowers from early to mid-summer and again in late summer to early autumn, ensuring extended ornamental interest.

Ideal for full sun to partial shade, ‘Bogeyman’ thrives in well-drained, fertile soils. It is a low-maintenance perennial that attracts pollinators such as butterflies and hummingbirds, enhancing garden biodiversity. Its compact habit and striking colour make it suitable for borders, containers, or as a specimen plant in garden beds. With its combination of dramatic colouration, fragrant blooms, and extended flowering period, ‘Bogeyman’ is a valuable addition to any perennial collection.
