Hemerocallis ‘Calico Jack’ – 2026

Hemerocallis ‘Calico Jack’ is a striking daylily featuring large, pale yellow flowers with a dark purple central eye and purple fringing on the ruffled petals, blooming in midsummer to provide bold and long-lasting colour in garden borders and mixed perennial plantings. The trumpet-shaped blooms rise above dense clumps of arching, strap-like green foliage, providing height, structure, and texture to cottage gardens, naturalistic schemes, and formal perennial beds. Its nectar-rich flowers attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, enhancing both ornamental and ecological value.

This cultivar thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Hardy and low-maintenance, it benefits from deadheading spent blooms and occasional division of clumps to maintain vigour and prolong flowering. Hemerocallis ‘Calico Jack’ is a reliable and resilient perennial, offering striking summer colour and strong seasonal impact with minimal care.
