Hosta abiqua ‘Moonbean’ – 2026

Hosta abiqua ‘Moonbean’ is a hardy, shade-loving perennial admired for its elongated green foliage that forms dense, mounded clumps. In mid to late summer, it produces spikes of pale lavender flowers that rise above the leaves, adding light texture and seasonal interest. Its bold leaf colour and tidy habit make it ideal for shaded borders, woodland gardens, or underplanting around trees and shrubs.

Thriving in partial to full shade with moist, well-drained soil, ‘Moonbean’ is hardy and low-maintenance. The ornamental foliage provides year-round visual appeal, while the seasonal flowers attract pollinators and enhance garden biodiversity. Its combination of attractive leaf colour, reliable growth, and seasonal blooms makes it a versatile and appealing choice for adding structure, texture, and fresh greenery to shaded garden areas.
