Hosta ‘Apple Green’ – 2026

Hosta ‘Apple Green’ is a compact perennial prized for its bright, fresh green foliage that brings light and vibrancy to shaded planting schemes. Forming neat, mounded clumps, its smooth leaves provide a clean and uniform appearance, making it particularly effective for edging paths, borders, or for use in containers. In summer, spikes of lavender flowers rise above the foliage, offering extra seasonal interest and attracting pollinators.

Thriving in partial to full shade with moist, well-drained soil, ‘Apple Green’ is hardy, resilient, and easy to maintain. Its cheerful foliage provides long-lasting colour throughout the season, while its blooms contribute to garden biodiversity. With its compact habit and lively colouring, this hosta is an excellent choice for brightening shaded borders or adding a splash of freshness to woodland-style plantings.
