Hosta ‘Blue Angel’ – 2026

Hosta ‘Blue Angel’ is a hardy perennial prized for its enormous, blue-green foliage that forms a broad, mounded clump, creating a striking focal point in shaded garden areas. In midsummer, tall spikes of pale lavender flowers rise above the foliage, adding height, seasonal interest, and attracting pollinators. Its bold leaf colour and impressive size make it ideal as a specimen plant or for adding structure to borders and woodland gardens.

Thriving in partial to full shade with moist, well-drained soil, ‘Blue Angel’ is hardy, low-maintenance, and reliable. The ornamental foliage provides long-lasting visual impact throughout the growing season, while the summer flowers enhance garden biodiversity. Its combination of dramatic leaf size, rich blue-green colouring, and seasonal blooms makes it a standout choice for shaded planting schemes.
