Hosta ‘Blue Shadows’ – 2026

Hosta ‘Blue Shadows’ is a hardy perennial admired for its dense clumps of blue-green foliage that bring cool tones and texture to shaded garden areas. The large, slightly corrugated leaves form a substantial mound, providing structure and visual interest, while upright spikes of pale lavender flowers appear in midsummer, adding height and attracting pollinators. Its bold leaf colour and tidy habit make it ideal for borders, woodland gardens, or as a specimen plant.

Thriving in partial to full shade with moist, well-drained soil, ‘Blue Shadows’ is hardy, low-maintenance, and reliable. The ornamental foliage provides lasting visual appeal throughout the season, while the summer flowers enhance garden biodiversity. Its combination of substantial leaf texture, attractive blue-green colouring, and seasonal blooms makes it a versatile and striking choice for shaded planting schemes.
