Hosta ‘Fragrant Blue’ – 2026

Hosta ‘Fragrant Blue’ is a medium-sized perennial known for its striking powder-blue foliage and lightly fragrant lavender flowers. The leaves are heart-shaped, slightly cupped, and have a waxy coating that gives them a distinctive blue hue. This cultivar maintains its vibrant color throughout the growing season, making it a standout in shaded garden beds.

In mid to late summer, ‘Fragrant Blue’ produces tall scapes bearing racemes of funnel-shaped, pale lavender flowers. These blooms rise above the foliage, adding vertical interest and attracting pollinators. The plant thrives in moist, well-drained soils and prefers partial to full shade. Its ability to maintain its blue color throughout the season and its fragrant flowers make it a valuable addition to any garden.
