Lobelia Upright White Basket Plants

The Lobelia Upright White pushes out hundreds of tiny, bright white blooms from a tight, clumping base, illuminating the darker corners of a floral display. It is a brilliant, non-hardy gap filler that adds a snowy, textural contrast against broad-leafed plants and brightly coloured vines. Though it is a relatively short-lived summer performer, its sheer volume of flowers makes it an indispensable addition to a heavily packed container.

To keep the foliage looking fresh and the flower buds actively opening, you must treat it like a highly demanding wetland plant. Keep the loam compost consistently wet to the touch, physically preventing the delicate, fibrous root system from ever experiencing drought stress. Consistent, heavy watering ensures the blooms continue to flush without the plant shutting down in an attempt to conserve energy.
