Papaver orientale ‘Pink Pearl’ – 2026

Papaver orientale Pink Pearl is a delightful oriental poppy, valued for its large, soft pink blooms with a contrasting dark central blotch. The ruffled, cup-shaped flowers rise above coarse, hairy green foliage, creating a graceful and eye-catching display in early summer borders. Its gentle colour and elegant form make it an ideal choice for cottage gardens, mixed perennial beds, and smaller planting schemes where a touch of delicate colour is desired.

This hardy perennial thrives in well-drained soil and prefers a sunny position, returning reliably year after year. Fully suited to the UK climate, it requires minimal maintenance beyond cutting back after flowering to encourage fresh foliage. Its nectar-rich blooms attract pollinators, adding ecological value, while the long-lasting flowers provide both ornamental and seasonal impact. Papaver orientale Pink Pearl combines charm, resilience, and vibrant summer colour, making it a dependable addition to any garden.
