Phlox paniculata ‘Fujiyama’ – 2026

Phlox paniculata Fujiyama is a striking perennial prized for its pure white, fragrant flower clusters that emerge in midsummer and often extend into autumn. Upright flower panicles crown strong, leafy stems above deep green foliage, offering a bright, elegant presence in garden borders or mixed plantings. This cultivars clean, light-infused blooms contrast beautifully with richer-coloured plants, making it particularly suited to white gardens or schemes where brightness and fragrance are key. Pollinators such as bees and butterflies are drawn to its nectar, contributing to ecological value, while its robust nature makes it a reliable performer in many garden settings.

This phlox excels in fertile, moist but well-drained soil, and flourishes in full sun or part shade. It benefits from deadheading to prolong the flowering season, and can be divided in spring or autumn to maintain vigour. While generally hardy, it prefers some shelter from extreme dry heat and benefits from mulch in the spring to help retain moisture and feed growth. For gardeners seeking structure, scent, and sustained white bloom through summer into early autumn, Fujiyama is a timeless and rewarding choice.
