Potentilla ‘Flambeau’ – 2026

Potentilla Flambeau is a vibrant perennial that makes a striking statement in sunny borders and cottage gardens. It bears rich, deep red semi-double to double flowers throughout summer into early autumn, each bloom perched atop slender stems above a mound of divided green foliage. The lush green leaves provide a lovely backdrop that amplifies the intensity of the red flowers. The plants flowering display is long-lasting, bringing colour and appeal over several months.

This cultivar thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, tolerating a variety of soil types so long as water does not stagnate. It requires minimal maintenance, though deadheading spent blooms helps to encourage fresh flowering. Flambeau is non-native to the UK and is valued both for its ornamental beauty and its ability to attract bees during its flowering period.
