Primula denticulata ‘Lila’ – 2026

Primula denticulata ‘Lila’ is a clump-forming perennial that produces striking lilac-purple, globe-shaped flower heads in early to mid-spring above a rosette of fresh green foliage. The spherical clusters add texture and a splash of vivid colour to borders, rockeries, or containers, creating a long-lasting spring display. Its compact habit makes it suitable for front-of-border planting or mixed container displays. This cultivar attracts early-season pollinators, offering both ecological and ornamental value in the garden.

It thrives in partial shade to full shade in moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Low-maintenance once established, it benefits from regular watering during dry spells. Although non-native to the UK, it provides reliable spring colour and structural interest in a variety of garden settings.
