Stachys monieri ‘Hummelo’ – 2026

Stachys monieri ‘Hummelo’ is a clump-forming perennial valued for its dense, aromatic green foliage and striking spikes of deep magenta-pink flowers that appear from mid to late summer. The upright stems create architectural interest and add height and colour to borders, cottage gardens, and naturalistic plantings. The flowers attract bees and other pollinators, enhancing the ecological value of the garden while providing a vibrant summer display.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil, Stachys monieri ‘Hummelo’ is hardy and low-maintenance. Cutting back after flowering encourages fresh growth and prolongs the plants visual appeal. Its combination of bold flower colour, structural form, and wildlife benefits makes it a versatile and rewarding choice for adding both ornamental and ecological interest to a wide range of garden settings.
