Thalictrum delavayi ‘Hewitt’s Double’ – 2026

Thalictrum delavayi ‘Hewitt’s Double’ is a tall, clump-forming perennial with finely divided, fern-like foliage and airy panicles of double, pale lilac to pink flowers that bloom from mid to late summer. The elegant, upright stems provide vertical structure and movement, creating a delicate and ethereal display in borders, cottage gardens, and naturalistic plantings. Its nectar-rich flowers attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, offering both ornamental charm and ecological value.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade with moist, well-drained soil, Thalictrum delavayi ‘Hewitt’s Double’ is hardy and low-maintenance. Cutting back after flowering encourages fresh growth and helps maintain a tidy, compact habit. Its combination of double lilac-pink flowers, architectural form, and wildlife benefits makes it a versatile and rewarding choice for adding height, texture, and late summer interest to a wide range of garden settings.
